The Holly Tree Tinne symbolized by the The Unicorn and the Flaming Spear begins July 8th and goes through the Fire Festival of Lammas ending August 4th 15 degrees of Cancer to 11 degrees 59 Leo.
With the Sun entering Leo by 11:00 PM MDT on the 22nd of July we herald the height of summer sun. We need the playful and creative pride in our lives and this is the time to appreciate the joys and fruits of our creativity and passion. Those who have Saturn returns or have had Saturn returns in Leo know the value of the creative work we do in our livs. How it sustains and bouys us when other more serious matters are pressing upon us. During the Celtic month of the Holly Tree we can glean those gifts that are freely bestowed by the mother Earth, Gaia, along with Ceres and Persephone. Ceres, Greek Demeter, was the keeper of vegetation and agriculture. Persephone, who was symbolically abducted, hence creating winter, completed the balance between Summer Solstice and Winter Solstice with ensuing symbolism. The trial of initiation was part of the Ceres-Persephone myth and sacred to the Elusinian Mysteries. The Fire Festival of Lammas marked the transformation of the Earth Goddess from Maiden to Mother aspect. The fuition being marked at Lammas engendered the ensuing morph into the Old Wise One who emerges at Samhain. Astrologically, the Sun in the Celtic month of Birch is directly opposed to the Earth in this Celtic month of the Holly. This retores the Sun to its ascent and Earth to its geocentric evergreen aspest in the lunar zodiac.

Chinese Year is the Year of the Boar all those born in 1935-6/1947-8/1959-60/ 1971-2/1983-4/1995-6 during the Chinese New Year time frames are feeling the positive effects of the Boar. Theodora Lau in her book The Handbook of Chinese Horoscopes states that the boar year is one of goodwill, a positive climate for business and industry. Beware of a feeling of abundance that may prove less fortunate than you may have expected, however. Prudence in money matters is recommended. Avoid overindulgence.Mars in earthy Taurus A great time to get the projects already underway practically formed. For this month, we have Mars squaring first Neptune on the 24th and then Saturn on the 31st: signs of danger and conflict at many levels. It's going to be one of those months when we all need to stay alert and step lively... Calculations indicate that the 8 degrees of Aries, and 8 degrees of Gemini midpoints will relieve the stress caused by these squares. So prioritize the personal agendas, and give your communication networks plenty of attention to navigate this time period.
Jupiter is fired up in Sagittarius With the philanthropic, benevolent and expansive Jupiter in the sign of idealistic and freedom-loving Sagittarius, we get the perfect energy for long distance travel or inner journeying. If you are influenced by fire or air in your chart, this is the time to actualize you spiritual power and raise your awareness of the higher self.
Saturn in Leo Because this trip is through Leo, the creative and passionate life force of fire, we attend to our deeper creative issues. Saturn returns for baby boomers are right on the horizon if not processed already. Get your structures together. It will be a wild ride for those born in the late 40's (mid-46-late 48) and the later 70's (late 75-mid-78). The sobering judge is there to rock your world. The creative juices should be your saving grace. Many who experience Saturn return, marry when single, divorce when married, or return to school and/or get a real job. It may be a more serious attitude that presents itself in your life at this time. Long range aspects to Saturn are having an effect that harks back to 536. On FEB 28, 2007, Saturn returns to 20LEO15R in direct opposition to Neptune at 20 AQUARIUS 15. This repeats only one more time in June and moves on. The ephemeris for this specific opposition can be found on Richard Nolle's site astropro.com
The last hit that resonates through this summer is:

Any charts natally done for this period would be affected in the degrees of the natal through the structure-dissolving properties of this opposition. Look to the signs and the house for personal clues re your Saturn work orientation and your mystical side in Neptune. On astropro.com, Richard Nolle writes: "All this Saturn stuff in combination with Venus' intersolar cycle tends to weaken an otherwise favorable indicator, turning apparent prosperity into something considerably less. Consequently, I'm inclined to expect that this summer brings the dawning realization that we're facing a generally lukewarm global economy at best this year. "
Uranus in Pisces is encouraging you to have a truer perspective, gaining some initiative from structured Saturn. It makes your wishes and intuitive faculties more readily attuned to the universal cosmic flux. Pisceans may see a definite shift in their attitudes for years to come. The urge to merge, whether as a natural mystic or healer, gives you the power to get a deeper understanding of the oneness of life. Watch a tendency to the unconventional or escapist actions. The vision of something greater in life is a welcome effect. The last time Uranus was in Pisces, an 84-year orbit, likened to the span of a human lifetime, was in 1919-20 through early 1928. From astropro.com, "Uranus aligns with the Moon's north node only once every fifteen years or so; and only once every 170 years or so does this happen in Pisces. When it does, it's worth noting, because it means eclipses take place with the Moon at extreme declination and with the Sun and Moon aligned with Uranus. It happens this month (June), for the first time since 1839. I figure it's a sign of a new Industrial Revolution of sorts - a technological changing of the guard, with the social and political revolution that does with it. Given all the other historic cosmic cycles happening lately - see my 2006 and 2007 World Forecast Highlights - I see this as one more brick in the wall of a whole new edifice of civilization. Don't try to hang onto the past, because it's slipping away faster and faster every day now... in world financial markets and systems spasms, what with the Pluto retrograde station chiming in near Galactic Center... I've said it before and I've said it again, this isn't an Apocalypse - except for the people who bet their futures on the status quo.

Pluto in Sagittarius at 25-27 degrees thorugh the Solstice Through these degrees, the Sabian Symbols cf. Marc Edmund Jones The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, 1969 indicate as characteristics of these positions. The shadow of Pluto could be the key to unlocking a mystery that should be brought to light. Watch the area of your chart in these degrees for clues. The alignment of Pluto with the Galactic Center has been explored on several sites, the interpretation of this phenomenon is revealed as follows by the site, Astrology for the 21st Century www.astrology21.co.uk: During 2006 and 2007 Pluto has been and will be conjunct the centre of our Galaxy. Some astronomers posit that at the core of our Galaxy is a Black Hole, but no-one knows for certain. Astrologers interpret the Galactic Centre is a kind of 'higher Sun'. The reasoning behind this is that the Sun is what our Solar System revolves around, and the Galactic Centre is what our Galaxy revolves around, therefore the Galactic Centre is the 'Sun of our Sun', the centre of our centre. Pluto doesn't line up with the Galactic Centre very often - only once every 248 years, in fact. This rare event means that all the issues and themes of Pluto that we humans are struggling with require plugging into a higher centre. So what are our Pluto themes? They are, quite simply, the most extreme experiences that humans deal with: Sex. Death. Money. Power. Possession. Control. Surrender. Grief. Loss. Greed. Fear. Regeneration. Being reborn. Starting all over again. Recycling. Nuclear fusion. Pollution and cleaning up. Spring cleaning. Taxation. Insurance. Relationships with ancestral lines, and grandmothers/greatgrandmothers in particular. Blood feuds. Investigation. Scrutiny. Penetrating through to what's normally secret. Taboos. The unspeakable. The underworld in every sense.
On a personal level how can you use this rare opportunity? You can sift and sort through your childhood conditioning on these sorts of topics and throw out what is no longer doing you any good to hold onto. You can reconstruct yourself with renewed vigour. You can discard what you used to revolve around but which you've outgrown, and re-centre yourself around something that is better suited to your life now. You can spring clean like you've never spring cleaned before. You have a chance to clear out anything that drains you or blocks you but which has previously felt insurmountable. You can also practice consciously surrendering to something larger than you and finding your place within that bigger picture. Here are the dates when Pluto will be (and has been) within about half a degree of the Galactic Centre. You needn't limit yourself to these times though, they are an approximate guide to when the energy is peaking, not an 'outer limits' cut-off point. 24th February 2006 to 23rd May 2006 16th December 2006 to 14th January 2007 25th June 2007 to 14th August 2007 1st October 2007 to 15th November 2007
