The Park County Superintendent of Schools is an elected, part-time office whose duties are defined by statute. It is used by all the persons in the county and especially those in the area of education. The office is a service agency that responds to local needs and provides professional and educational leadership.

The office also provides the following services:

1. A permanent record of all the teachers in the county, past and present.
   
2. A permanent record of all school district trustees and clerks, past and present.
   
3. A transcript of all district boundaries, past and present.
   
4. Retains all school census records. These can be used to confirm birthdates for those with birthdates up to 1970.
   
5. All homeschools in the county are required to register in the office. Information about curriculum and materials is also available.
   
6. Provide statistical information for various agencies.
   
7. Reply to all enquiries pertaining to schools.
